ACORN In The White House?   September 28th, 2009
No, I'm not talking about the president

QUICK OBSERVATIONS

More observations...

Just when you thought the ACORN story had run its course, there seems there could be more... in the White House. And I'm not talking about President Obama.

Newly discovered evidence shows the radical advocacy group ACORN has a man in the Obama White House. This power behind the throne is longtime ACORN operative Patrick Gaspard. He holds the title of White House political affairs director, the same title Karl Rove held in President Bush's White House.

Evidence shows that years before he joined the Obama administration, Gaspard was ACORN boss Bertha Lewis's political director in New York.

Lewis, the current 'chief organizer' or CEO of ACORN, was head of New York ACORN from at least 1994 through 2008, when she took over as national leader of ACORN. With Gaspard at work in the White House, Lewis might as well be speaking to President Obama through an earpiece as he goes about his daily business ruining the country...

As the old Washington saying goes, politics is personnel. Who knows how many administration officials were put in place by Gaspard with direct input from ACORN's Bertha Lewis. It boggles the mind.

So a former political director for ACORN in New York is now the director of White House political affairs and has the ear of Obama.

Coincidence? Recall that President Obama promised that organizations such as ACORN would be shaping his presidency. And with a recent ACORN political director acting as the political affairs director in the White House, it would appear that this is one promise that Obama has kept.

And despite Obama having worked with ACORN in the past, and despite having a former ACORN political director in close proximity in the White House, we're supposed to believe Obama when he said " I didn't even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money... It's not something I'm paying a lot of attention to."

With such an unbelievable denial it seemed very likely that Obama was hiding something. It would now appear that, perhaps, what he was trying to avoid was the fact that ACORN has infiltrated the White House.

Yes, this story is from BigGovernment.com. Not ABC, not CBS, not the New York Times. But the old media has proven incapable of doing any investigative reporting, or even reporting the investigative news unearthed by others. One of ABC's anchormen professed ignorance on the ACORN scandal even after the Senate had voted to strip ACORN of funding. And the New York Times only reported half the story when it finally got around to reporting it.

Now we have what appears to be evidence of an ACORN operative in the White House. And, again, Obama promised ACORN would help shape his agenda so, if true, this would be completely in line with what Obama promised.

Will the mainstream media investigate or report this? Or will this have to fester and boil over in the realm of conservative blogs for a few weeks before the mainstream media reports the White House director of political affairs has suddenly resigned for no apparent reason?

This will be a test for both the White House and the old media. Will the White House sever its ties with ACORN by getting rid of its ACORN-infestation? And, either way, will the old media report it? Or will they be scooped and once again proven irrelevant by new media?
